Taken during the early 1940s at the rear of Plum Tree Cottage, Viney Hill. 

 

I would think that Dad would have been in his early 40s and this was taken before he met Mum. 

Although by trade Dad was a coal miner, at the time of this photograph he was employed as a full time Police War Reserve, based at Lydney. 

Must say that you looked pretty smart Dad!
